Eleanor is a bilingual screenwriter with a BA in German from Bristol University and an MA in Screenwriting from Raindance Film School. Raised in a Christian household and having spent part of her childhood in Germany, she is drawn to stories that explore class conflict, societal expectations, and the tension between ideology and reality. Her work spans both historical and contemporary settings, centering on complex female protagonists navigating restrictive societies, power struggles, and evolving identities.

Her projects include The Champagne Socialist, a bilingual period drama exploring the contradictions of an aristocratic communist caught between love and ideology; Mare Street, which delves into the divide between Victorian reformers and the women they claim to save; and Caviar y Revolución, a revolutionary epic that pits European imperialists against Mexican insurgents. In her contemporary work, Frankie explores the complexities of polyamory, forcing its protagonist to confront the gap between theory and lived experience, while On the Wrong Foot examines romance as a path to self-acceptance after trauma. Across all her stories, Eleanor balances rich atmosphere, sharp wit, and emotional complexity, crafting narratives that challenge both her characters and audiences to confront moral ambiguity.

Eleanor’s writing is defined by a distinctly female gaze, reframing historical narratives and tackling contemporary issues with nuance and heart. Her protagonists—intelligent, flawed, and deeply human—grapple with class, gender, and power in ways that are both thought-provoking and deeply personal. She has collaborated with established screenwriters and directors such as Ruth Paxton, Raphaela Wagner, Sade Sellers, Liza St. John and Joey Akubeze. Her work has also been workshopped in programs like Sundance Collab, and her pilot Give Me The Cake was recognized in the top 15% of the BBC Writer’s Room Open Call. Whether through revolution, romance, or rebellion, Eleanor’s work seeks to challenge conventions while keeping audiences engaged with warmth, wit, and depth.
